If I sound antagonistic I truly don't mean to, but this isn't a good sub to post your twitch.

People seem to either have no interest (ex: me) or get irrationally angry at self-promotion.

It's weird. There's a lot of "how dare you" people in this sub.

Expect only negative feedback.

Good luck.

I'm 32. I had a good time at Indoor Ascent in Dover. UNH has a climbing gym too, not sure if non-students can go but maybe try?

23 is a solid age for the area.

Jeez. Thinking about it some of the kids who were climbing there are probably your age now. There were definitely a bunch of early teens who climbed there all the time when I went in my 20s, so they'd be around your age now...

I feel old.

What the fuck does "does the state motto apply" even mean?

So I'll just state facts and you can pick and choose what matters to you:

  • Manchester is a city.

  • Cities lean pro-regulation.

  • Manchester is expensive.

  • Southern NH is expensive.

  • $250k in Northern NH is a nice house. There are several houses in Berlin for under $100,000.

  • Nobody cares how cheap you can by a house in X Y or Z when you're trying to live in A.

I'm guessing your question means "I have strong, polarizing, slightly/extremely right opinions and you really wish people would stop being so mean 😢"

Head north, brother. Complain about the libs and kill your liver like the rest of the people who love the state motto.

Considering the housing market I imagine your landlord wouldn't have too much of an issue with it, hopefully.

Definitely have your ducks in a row before you call them since it will be a little last-minute and hope for the best.

Ideally the best way to get out of a lease early is to call them a couple months ahead of time to give them time to get a new tenant lined up, otherwise you may risk losing the deposit.

This is what I think about it

You need a visual aid to truly understand how much money Bezos has.

On July 20th 2020 Jeff Bezos made $13 billion in a single day.

The estimated cost to pay for chemo for EVERY SINGLE CANCER PATIENT IN THE COUNTRY is $9 billion.

Jeff Bezos made enough money in ONE DAY to pay for chemo for every American who needs it and still have $4 BILLION dollars left over.

Jeff made ~10,000x more in a single day than he donated to that soup kitchen (for a tax writeoff). That's 0.01% of a single day's income.

Ya... Bezos can take a long walk off a short pier.

Naw, you'll be fine for the climbing stuff, obviously being aware of age gap stressors. Under ~25 it seems like age matters a lot, over 25ish is kinda whatever.

Bars alone can be weird. I've made several friends at bars but I'm very passive and kind of a long con kinda guy.

Show up repeatedly, become a familiar face. Talk to people, general chatting. I became casual friends with two bartenders over the last 3 years. It takes time and a certain level of savviness.

How's your fitness? Do you have any friends in the area at all? Climbing is a super friendly environment. Dover has indoor ascent and Barrington has a very accessible ice climbing wall on the Stonehouse Pond loop.

My go-to suggestion for 20-somethings is climbing.

I'm 32 so I've aged out of it a little bit because it trends towards mid twenties / college age people but they're the nicest people you'll meet in the state.

And, to reiterate, beer/drinking is an enormous part of making friends as an adult in NH. Even if you're sober, bars are your friend.

  • Unannounced maintenance that brings the internet down (2 AM so a lot of people don't notice it)

  • Absolutely godawful website

  • M-F 9-5 hours so if you have internet issues at night or on the weekend too fucking bad

  • Constant outages

  • Peak speeds are actually very good, but are extremely inconsistent

  • Constant random drops

  • Not reporting outages unless they're extremely widespread

At least with Comcast you get consistent service.
