Sorry, I'm old school. I gotta go with the hardcore bands like Bad Brains.

Reply to I miss walking in to a record store and discuss music recommendations with the owner by MaybeTheDoctor
I was just telling my daughter about how much time I would spend on listening bars at record stores. I found a lot of great music that way.

My daughter has been into her since she was a kid so I kinda ignored her. Then around the time of the SNL Swiftamine spot I realized that she does know her stuff.

Hard to say, probably depends on how long they stay relevant. Swift is an amazing song writer, still very young and still making hits. She has a shot.

If you are a music lover that won't change. I've been on a musical journey for over 40 years now. Almost 58 and I still seek out new music. My library is kinda large by now.
I just want time to enjoy it!

It better hurry, I'm not getting any younger.
It will probably be something created via AI. But I do hope it is something with really good musicianship.

This was common with swing bands. I used to go see a lot of them in the 80s and 90s at Disneyland. While occasionally you would see a Lionel Hampton alive, more often it would be "Benny Goodman Band" with a sax player who used to play with him.
