Not sure what you're on about, the news is pretty big business. Lots of people watch it.
...and they do provide solutions. Thats usually the problem people complain about, because that's both opinion and inherently politically biased being that anything worth reporting on is a complex issue without easy solutions.

Maybe it's just done incidentally. Assuming basic literacy is taught before age 11 at home or another school, then as they're assigned to write papers on this or that they get corrected as they go. No need for an explicit "English" class.

Yeah. Sadly you gotta play the game and amp it up with networking (yes I hate that too). Luckily lots of big companies have programs specifically for fast tracking recent grads.

Worse. You notice most of these posts ultimately succeeded? Bit of a selection bias.
The problem is that a ton of job listings are outdated or targeted at a specific person. From the other side the spam-application approach floods them with a lot of just trash resumes that frankly aren't worth the time even formally rejecting, they just move on.
