I thought it was that vampire family who were countering t-mobile's service π€. Hopefully they didn't try surfing during the day π& now that's why Comcast is going off about 10G.
Seriously though 10G is really available on Comcast & you're right cord cutters are killing cable tv. A couple of months ago streaming beat cable by ~1% for the first time in history. The streaming numbers are growing.
Wish I could get rid of Xfinity, but stupid board of directors didn't listen to me about cord cutting & FAST... now a 10 year Xfinity contract, where they'll be raising prices more & more. π
Note: I think Comcast is like google... they're watching my posting about them & placed an ad at the top of the thread.

They do have 10G, truly meant for business, via Full duplex fiber with DOCSIS 4.0.
They're just marketing the 10G shit at residential customers, esp. gamers & gen z'ers who want to be the coolest, and more so because of their customers' ignorance & "dependance" πon the Internet.
You can't use 10G in residential, unless you have a business grade network, CE doesn't support 10G speed.
Edit: quotes on dependence for sarcasm

The only reason why you may not have been able to change is to a different provider is because local township; state county; private community; etc. have contracts.
However, because the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) defines Comcast & Charter Communications as Cable providers vs. AT&T and Verizon as Telephone, when your Telephone provider upgrades their network to Fiber, you have the legal right to change switch all services to your telephone provider.

Thanks to Ars Technica, Comcast has been caught Red-handed by FCC for providing false coverage map data claiming their coverage area reaches dozens of homes in Colorado with 1.2Gbps broadband
