Small claims is the way to go, especially with the evidence you have. You can get free legal advice at the courthouse and filing costs around $50, which you can include in your suit. No lawyers are necessary, just show up and make your case on the date the court assigns. In some cases you can be eligible for triple damages, though I'm not sure that applies in this case.

As others noted MD will charge you the difference in the sales tax that you paid and what MD sales tax would be. As military coming from overseas with a car that I bought through AAFES (and paid no tax on originally) it really hit my pocketbook. It's a bullshit policy and needs to change.

It can be a bit of a drive depending on where you are but Maple Lawn absolutely kills it for ToT. There are so many homes in such close proximity and it's very saf for walking. The kids have absolutely cleaned up every time we've gone there.

I had a very similar experience several months ago and I'm still cleaning up the odd e-mail subscription. The would-be thief only placed a single order at Costco.com, and I didn't get a delivery address.

My suspicion was that my card was compromised at a local restaurant near JHU APL, but I have no evidence.

This is not only a vast oversimplification of the history of US/Cuba relations but also factually incorrect. Exactly what Cuban resources did nationalization of the US refineries allow Cuba to use? The Cuban government nationalized the US refineries because they refused to refine Soviet (not Cuban) oil. The Cuban government then went on to nationalize all US businesses in Cuba, without providing any compensation to the legitimate owners.
