I get that but I think the dichotomy is meant to reflect her hard living as compared to the others.

Haven’t watched yet but I still cannot get over how good every single casting decision was in season one. Absolute perfection. Lynsky, Ricci, Lewis…just a master class.

Play them in order.
The first is a little “clunkier,” but the playable characters from one show up as NPC/story characters in two, and it is immeasurably more emotionally resonant - sometimes positively, sometimes negatively - when you have played as them previously.

Good point. The two I mentioned, "Humbug" (circus performers), and "War of the Coprophages," one of the funniest episodes of the whole series.
And, hell, he wrote the one revival episode that had Kumail Nanjiani and Rhys Darby, probably the only really good episode of that run.

This show hit at EXACTLY the right time. Two years earlier or later and it wouldn’t have been timely. But fall 1993, when I was 13, it was absolutely perfect for the burgeoning Internet, conspiracy theories, fan discussion, etc.
Some stuff is dated for sure, but it still has some of the best single episodes of television even decades later, like Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose or Jose Chung’s From Outer Space.

Maybe a year ago we finally watched Chinatown and here comes this MFer right here, acting like he was just some normal boring character actor. The nerve.

Easy answer. Came out in college. It was addictive to the point that we had an open door and open PC policy on my hall that anyone could host a multiplayer game on someone else’s PC in their absence to allow for mule-ing and sharing.

ASSLAW alum here (before it was ASSLAW). I think “increasingly-“ before fringe and Libertarian would be a more fair characterization. The undergrad program isn’t nearly as far-right-shifting as the law school has been for the past twenty years.

I was secretly rooting a little bit for Sam, the Steve Martin lookalike, in the ToC, but at the end of the day our all-time favorite Jeopardy contestant was and will always be Amy Schneider. What an incredible year for trans representation and normalizing and relatability. And she's just so fucking cool.
