Reply to Appreciating the Hunger Games by Friesandmayo2665
I feel like I might have bad taste or something lmao, because I love things a lot of people criticize like The Hunger Games, and Eragon, and Ready Player One. A lot of people seems to dislike the last two especially. But you know what, I don't care in the least. I like what I like and I have the best time reading books like that!

imagine that, something good happening being a "loss for republicans". Who would have thought!

Reply to comment by SteamboatMcGee in I started I’ll Be Gone In The Dark by Michelle McNamara, I can’t stand all the parts about her just talking about herself! by gamercouplelolz
I haven't read it, but listened to a lot of podcasts talking about the book. They all stated that Michelle pretty much solved the case, which I just took at face value because I had no interest in reading it. So, that's not true apparently! Well, now I know and feel silly for believing them.

Reply to What is your guilty pleasure? by Sea_Concentrate_6543
I don't know if they're guilty pleasures but I enjoy some books that I see a lot of people hating on.
The Inheritance Cycle, by Christopher Paolini - LOVED those books and I don't care who says they're bad, I really liked reading them.
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch - loved this one too and only seem to see people saying it's boring.
Ready Player One - same as above. Really liked it and only see people talking about how it's bad or uninteresting.
Probably true guilty pleasure would be the Shopaholic books.

Reply to What obscure kids' novel stuck with you (literally) into adulthood? (Potential TW of child neglect) by DerpiestLilDhampir
I don't think it's obscure because it literally won the Newbury Medal but I've never forgotten The Twenty-One Balloons (by William Pène du Bois) since I read it as a child.

Someone left a copy of Verity by Colleen Hoover on my doorstep lmao. To this day I have no idea who left it or why. I still haven't read it though.

Reply to Reading in social situations - unacceptable? by Foo321
I honestly don't think that people would consider that rude. It's just that people don't do it as much as looking at their phone. I'd rather have someone take out their book.

Reply to I read an article about Missouri’s House cutting funding to their libraries and it made me really sad. by poopmaester41
Boy I wonder where those kids are going to be exposed to sexual material. It couldn't be the device that is in their hands 24/7. No it's probably at the library.
