Reply to Hey guys, had a walking/ hiking question. by bunnybates
I bought the Rhode Island Family Hiking Guide and Journal, they're all mostly novice hikes and I've really enjoyed doing them with my kid. It also has suggestions for when is the best time to go, if hunting is allowed, etc so it's a great guide!

I love Wiggle Walkers! They watch my kitties when we're away, they're the best!

I only consistently went to PPL but I'm sure all the libraries have similar programming for babies. The Community Libraries of Providence has a calendar that shows all the libraries and when they do storytime if you wanted to check a few out!

We did a parent and child ballet class at Festival Ballet. It was really fun, and after class we'd go across the street to get the kids cookies at Seven Stars and chat it up.

I would definitely start by going to storytime at your local library! When I lived in Mass I made my first mom friend that way. In Providence I took my kid to storytime at Providence Public Library downtown (they have different ones per age group, and one for all kids), but I know a lot of parents hop around and go to different libraries. I didn't really start making parent friends until my kid started dance class when she got a little older though. I hope that helps!

Providence Public Library has a great children's room, and they have multiple kids storytimes during the week - two on Tuesdays (one for toddlers and the other for little babies) and one on Thursday for all ages. I took my daughter to their storytime every week until she started school.

Might be super far for you, but when I lived in Mass, we used Kickin Customs (out in Raynham) for our tint. They did a phenomenal job and I know they do wraps too. But again, sorry if it's too far for you.

It's to the left of the flower shop, in a yellow garbage looking bin!

Farm Fresh RI (10 Sims Ave) has a free compost drop off bin outside their building during their farmers market on Saturdays. I've been dropping off my scraps there for over a year now.

Gifted a set of their salt to my MIL last year and she loved it. They also sell cute hand painted salt spoons too.

If you go to vaccines.gov you can enter your zip code and search by vaccine. A list of pharmacies that carry J&J should pop up.

It's a store in Providence that has all sorts of fun stuff. I've definitely seen a Narragansett beer sign at their Hope St. location before. They have an online store too!

If they don't have it at the brewery, I know for a fact that Frog and Toad sells one.

I bought mine at Frog and Toad but local bookstores should have them, I know I've seen it at Books on the Square before too.
