If memory serves me right, and somebody can chime in. Apparently between moving all the equipment into place and such, they only had a couple hours max to work on things. Least that was the excuse they kept using for completely closing the OL. Dunno how much was true at this point.

I think it’s more Dorchester residents are wondering why they’re being used as a dumping ground for the rest of the city at this point. This wouldn’t even enter the realm of possibility in any other neighborhood in the city. Plenty of places and buildings but for whatever reasons it seems to always be Dorchester. Not Back Bay, South End, Fenway, Seaport, Allston/Brighton, etc… The city is simply hiding this issue instead of dealing with it. It just all gets pushed into corners of Dorchester so the “main” city doesn’t have to deal with any of it.

This is such an odd area to be doing this in but just supports that the city is trying to hide the issue. It’s be nice if they took that entire warehouse wasteland between South Bay and Boston Medical and developed it instead of tearing down and building in this very remote area where there’s hardly any homeless folks and limited access to transit options.

Folks at Savin Hill def wouldn’t allow for a larger station and would probably get Lynch to nix it or direct it (yellow) to the dilapidated JFK/UMass stop as usual. Also, your red line doesn’t split until some unknown place before Fields Corner when it splits at JFK currently? Reason? Could just turn JFK/UMass into a major intersection moreso than it is and toss the yellow line in there too.

So, not actually looking in Boston? They’re not considered remotely part of Boston so this is confusing. Those towns operate a little bit different than the landlords inside Boston. Nobody’s going to care about your retirement savings. If you have somebody who can co-sign then go that route. I’m sure there’s a bit more to this story than meets the eyes. I wouldn’t blame a landlord for not taking you on yo an extent because in those areas, they’ve probably have had more than their fair share of being burned by tenants.
