Nothing happens other than you pay a $20 late fee for your emissions test which you pay online at the DMV site. If you don't have your emissions up to date you won't be able to register or renew a registration, so make sure your emissions is done before your registration expires.

It's terrible. Even if you were driving with absolutely no traffic, it's still 60 miles one way. By train it's at least 90 minutes one way. From Fairfield it's a terrible, but doable, commute, never mind two more towns up the line.

So your proof that all 3.6m CT residents generally don't enjoy a high quality of life is because your road is shit and you pay $7k in taxes and have a house you don't like? That's your entire case? Sorry man that's pretty f*cking weak. Just basic shit like public education, household/median income, access to health care, life expectancy, obesity rates, infant mortality, and on and on CT is at the top or very near the top in just about every basic SoL/QoL category like that. You're over here mad about a pothole on your street when parts of this country are on the level of developing African nations when it comes to just having clean potable water. Beyond the stuff we can control, when you live in CT, you're not at risk of losing all your stuff and having your town burn down from a wildfire, or being leveled by a tornado or washed away in a flood. Some of you whiners need a little fucking perspective because you have no clue how good you have it especially in light of what happened last weekend in the south.

No offense, but you sound like my grandpa that sits around watching Fox News all day. The problem for you guys is no one believes your dumb talking points anymore outside of your own little shrinking circle. You just sound.... crazy. Like old man shaking fist at the clouds crazy. Maybe stick your head out the window and yell "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" Your anecdotes aside, Connecticut and our neighbor to the north have the highest standards of living and quality of life in the country by virtually every metric. You can look at just about any top 10 list, and you'll find the same states in the top 10 and the same states in the bottom 10. That's neither anecdotal nor coincidence.

More crime? CT violent and property crime rates are 1.6 and 16.1 per 1000 people respectively compared to 6.8 and 22.8 in TN. Violent crimes in TN are more than quadruple that of CT, with nearly 40% more property crime. CT, despite being mostly urban, is still one of the safest states in the country, and without looking it up, likely safer with less crime than every single state south of the Mason-Dixon.

Where will they work? It's one thing to have housing, but you need to have a job too. There's not much going on in the places you propose unless you're busing them into the cities.

Worst thing is probably the traffic especially in the summer. Benefits are more moderate climate (i.e. not as hot or cold) and easy train access.

Gonzaga basically quit halfway through the second half, but that was about as dominant a performance in an elite eight game as you'll see. That level of domination reminded me of the women's team against Texas in the sweet sixteen some years ago when they won by 50 points.

The way they close the Westbrook one pisses me off. They block it off and put a lot of effort into blocking it with barriers and barrels, so you can't even use it to pull off the highway. It's fine if they want to close the building, but what's the point of closing the entire parking lot area?

They are sitting there because that's their patrol area, so if there's a call nearby they can have a quick response. Like if someone has a medical emergency or there's a burglary they can respond right away.
