I agree - same here.. given the bureacracies between county city and school governing organizations it would take a minor miracle to have them all coordinate any changes to the start of the calendar year rather than this retroactive nonsense.

Unfortunately most of JC property owners have been assessed roughly 32% more property tax as compared to last year
2021 - total tax rate = 1.6% (city rate 0.60% + school rate 0.60% + county rate 0.43%)
2022 - total tax rate jumped 32% = 2.11% (city rate 0.82% + school rate 0.86% + county rate 0.43%)
For 2022 the city tax rate went up ~37%, the school tax rate went up ~43%, county tax rate stayed the same.
They only assessed the higher rate in Q3 and Q4 that's why you're seeing the bigger property tax bill now.
See the following articles for actual budget data and references and questions to ask your local representatives:

If you have Amazon Prime you can get grubhub (aka seamless) for free for a year. My favorite used to be delivery.com which had very few service fees unlike the others. These days I just go with the one that has an active promotion OR even better just call the restaurant and order direct.

Good luck. Every choice has its own pros and cons. If money/taxes are not a concern then Manhattan should be your first choice

You have the following options in increasing order of time and effort needed and effectiveness:

- Fill in their surveys https://forms.office.com/pages/responsepage.aspx?id=JUpIxNjQ0EqRaqiJtqp6AmqapyVT6ahPmia0xUrot9ZUNEFaNTVZQUo2U1BWRFBQOEw1SEtKRUhGNSQlQCN0PWcu
- Fill in their issues contact form: https://www.panynj.gov/content/forms/af/port-authority/contact-us.html
- Reach out to the PATH riders council: email PATHcommunity@panynj.gov and https://www.panynj.gov/path/en/community-events.html
- Reach out directly to PATH executives
- Reach out to your city council members and representatives / senators
- Attend the Port Authority Board of Governors meeting - you have to be well prepared for this, create slides/print outs and the session will be videotaped as well as covered by the press. The board is appointed by the NJ and NY governors. I have done this once.
- Engage with press/journalists again with documentation of steps 1-6 if they don't bear fruit.
- If you have more time and money (gofundme?) then arrange for lobbyists who will go to bat for you and perform these steps on your behalf - this is how corporations get the government to do things in their favor - they hire professional lobbyists.
I will note that the online emails/reddit posts/tweets are rarely as effective as going there in person (with others if possible) and making your case in person.

Definitely second the Pizza Twist recommendation. Here's the menu for the JSQ one that's open:

And they will be opening a second location soon in downtown:

Yeah urban canyon effect plus mmWave - but I don't see the same issue with their Manhattan coverage... we should at least have their C-band coverage everywhere if not mmWave

u/nycdevil Yeah it's kinda disappointing to see JC as a 5G UW desert compared to Bayonne, Harrison and Newark
Either mid band or mmWave would be great.. I'll take midband until they get around mmWave..
----- From the Verizon 5G FAQ ---------------------------------------------------------------
Can all 5G devices work in 5G Ultra Wideband areas shown on the map?
5G Ultra Wideband uses two types of 5G spectrum (high-band and mid-band). Not all 5G devices are compatible with both high-band and mid-band and some devices may require software updates to be fully compatible. Check your device’s network compatibility.
The technical specs are as follows: devices supporting n77 (C-band), and n260 and n261 (mmWave) bands will have access to all of our 5G Ultra Wideband network.
