We have driven on it from Eureka CA to Astoria OR, and all of it in WA up to Forks. Just missing the section from Forks to Port Angeles. Definitely am looking forward to driving the remainder.

We really are. If you haven't already done so, pick a sunny day and drive 101 between Hoodsport and Port Townsend, with a detour to Port Ludlow. It's unbelievably beautiful.

I really hate those modern McMansions. We toured on during an open house - so sterile and unfriendly. I honestly do not understand why people like them.

There's a spot on one of the roads near my house, also in the PNW, that when it's smokey there's a really cool blue/gray gradient in the trees. Normally they're just a wall of dark green and don't particularly stand out. Unfortunately it's in a spot where I can't stop to take a photo. Maybe this summer, when it's smokey again (unfortunately).

We visited there recently as well. Like no other place on earth. If you're still around that area you should check out the Maple Glade trail off of N Shore Rd by Lake Quinault.
