Exactly. My parents went through a similar scenario with my sister, except that she has 4 kids and they were much younger. They have been dealing with the fallout from her addiction issues for years.

In the end they gave up about 12 years of life, unbelievable amounts of money and time. And still, any day she could relapse and start it all over again.

Yeah, I guess I can see how you could interpret it that way. I meant people living in Philly but from KC who want to watch the game might want to come down to that bar. However, the regulars I have met there tend to be Philly locals who are diehard Chiefs fans. They all live right in the neighborhood. It's such a cool little microcosm.

It varies by cost of living more than school. When I was a PhD student in the Midwest I was making mid 20s (this is back in the oughts.) Not a lot, but comfortable in a midwestern college town. I came to Philly after graduation and I remember some of the Penn students I was around were in the 30s.
