My predictions are 1. A useless internal committee with high press profile but zero meaningful action (e.g. lip service). 2. A couple "bad apples" who go publicly down as fall guys, while the same bullshit continues in an entirely spoiled department.

I hope I'm wrong, but Healey has bigger aspirations and easier wins to put on her record than taking on MSP.

re: Bova's line even longer

I feel like we've come full circle with the cannoli gatekeeping, and that shitting on Mike's is arguably more touristy than being caught going there. It comes off as a tryhard chest puffing exercise to advertise that you're totally not a tourist and know the real spots. I've never met anyone from around here who actually gives a shit.

Just went a couple days ago to experience the Treehouse hype for the first time. Beer was great, but I was really surprised at the prices. Everything is the same - you buy $8 drink "tickets" online and scan at the register. Perhaps my yuppie is showing, but that seems super reasonable considering what average to decent breweries and taprooms charge. Hopefully they don't jack it up a bunch when the place gains popularity.

I'll double down on your last sentence and extend beyond food establishments. Have seen off leash dogs at Lowes and Home Depot. Just why?

I have no allergies or anything against dogs. We had them growing up and they stayed at home for errands. It's the principle of entitlement that gets me, like people think the rules must not apply to them or they just don't care. It's like fire lane parkers cause they'll "just be a minute, running in for something real quick." Oh you mean like literally everyone fucking else in the store?

I also had 200 and went to 300. The way I understand it is your line is already provisioned for 300/300, so it costs them nothing to "unlock" it. They offer this as an upgrade in the online portal and do it to throw you a bone if you are calling to negotiate price.

IMO it's only cons in either direction. If anything, police scrutinize these things more cause it's people looking for a pass. The general public probably won't care enough to do anything 99.9% of the time, but why make your car more identifiable or risk it at all if there's no benefit? Why pay more for the plate? Buy a radar detector instead if you really want. Honestly I find mine not even that useful here cause "reasonable" speeding is expected and fine on highways if you're otherwise not doing wild shit. Mine beeps a lot on thickly settled surface roads where I wouldn't speed anyway.
