Absolutely, your health should always come first. From what I've read and from my grandmother's stroke it seems usually by the time you hit the one year mark you are recovered about as much as will happen with very minor improvements after that.

Not at all. Those times on that chart are what it takes to diagnose the problem and figure out the best medication. In my experience most people don't get over depression they learn coping strategies along with medication. Just like a physical injury you're sent home to heal.

I don't know nor care about Toomey. My experience is personal with a close family member that has spent several stays in mental health facilities.

Length of U.S. hospitalizations for mental health in 2016, by diagnosis
In my experience with a very close family member who suffered with depression and anxiety, 5 to 15 days seems to be the norm.

In all seriousness can we skip by the he's better than any Republican no matter what condition he's in. He won the election, he is the senator.
He's been in a mental health facility for 6 weeks now, which is way beyond average for depression, it's obvious there's something more serious going on.
Once he's released what are your expectations of him as a senator? Should he be held to the same standards requiring him to carry the same workload as other senators? Do you expect him to be able to critically evaluate legislation and vote on it? Or will you be satisfied if he just votes party line?

Yep. I get it. It's funny that you aren't actually under the influence per say but you have evidence that a drug was in your system. If they could figure out a way to tell that you used alcohol at some point in the last few weeks they could get people on that too. Then they can get a lot more DUI charges. Lol. Sarcasm of course.

Have you consulted a lawyer yet? I can't imagine any logical thinking sane judge could uphold a DUI against somebody who actually is not under the influence. I'm surprised this hasn't been pushed all the way to the PA supreme Court and settled.

Yep. I've had several family members go through it. I guess my idea would be as long as you follow through with treatment and made an honest effort. I'm completely aware the first round rarely works.

Opioid and other drug addiction treatment shouldn't cost low income residents money as long as they follow through with the prescribed treatment imo.

I may be wrong but don't they only keep you in the hospital if you are at risk for hurting yourself or others? Otherwise they figure out medication, set you up with therapy and send you home.
