I solved my problem by buying a lazy boy recliner in the living room. I no longer watch TV from the bed. Its bad posture.

Sonova website says:
Yesterday’s Sennheiser Consumer Innovation press event also confirmed that premium headphones, audiophile, enhanced hearing, and soundbars will be the four key product segments. Sonova Consumer Hearing has announced a packed innovation pipeline with new products expected in all four of its categories in 2022, including new products in its flagship MOMENTUM range. The company also doubled down on its investment into audiophile headphones following the recently launched award-winning IE headphone series, with many more exciting products to come.
The premium headphone market is currently valued at around USD 20 billion and is expected to grow threefold to USD 60 billion in the next seven years. This growth will be driven by smartphone attachment as currently only about 20% of smartphone users have true wireless headphones, this will grow to 70% in the next seven years.1 The Sennheiser brand will be at the forefront of this transition with its premium true wireless sound.
The technology behind true wireless headphones and hearing aids is also converging to create a rapidly growing enhanced hearing segment. Sonova’s acquisition of the Sennheiser Consumer business puts it in a very strong position to lead the market.

I’m thinking to fill the gap between $350 660 and $1600 HD800S.

Saw his video. You think its slimmer than dekonis? Suede looks like its closer to the original sound signature.

Would HD800s also have a wide stage? So then Sundaras are narrow stage?

When playing Battlefield, are you using any eq? Or any Spatial software such as Dolby or THX?
I currently use that $20 PC Dolby eq app for COD. But with “surround” mode off since its a FPS game.
Can I do better on my HD800s?

I hear ya again. So there are several Reddit channels where people post pics of their “setups”. Could be PC, desk, AV equipment. I suspect most are younger folks. Its the new normal in the internet age.
There is a whole generation of folks that probably value “looks” as part of their equation to buy anything.
I know, It’s unfortunate……even when shopping for an iPhone….the reviews were mostly about the look and feel. Nevermind that technically iPhones are behind the Samsungs. Lol.
That invisible thing with China….they are basically our bank. They lend us money and without them, we wouldn’t be flourishing. And vice versa. Economics is incredibly complicated.

I hear ya. I did have schiit and I didn’t like the look, buttons, build etc.
Fiio seems to have figured out the market for both Audiophiles and ignorant audio consumers.
My Fiio has a 2nd USB C port - they assumed I wanted a dedicated port for my macbook and they were right.
They added an EQ on phone apps for Bluetooth in case I wanted to watch TV. They were right.
They have cute little USB dongles. They assumed folks will want portable dacs amps because more mobile devices are being used. They were right.
I know this is controversial, but they added MQA because some folk’s really feel Tidal Masters does sound better, even if we all know its not real “lossless”. They were right.
For headphones, I been paying extra for Sennheiser that were made in Germany or Ireland. I have a special heart for German and Japanese engineering as I studied Industrial Economics.
I been avoiding HifiMan because it is china based. And I know USA will eventually go to war with China.
But the day that HifiMan makes a superior product over HD800s for the money, then I may consider.

I switched to Fiio. Seems more for the money. A K5 is $150.

every headphone and every dac and every amp will sound totally different to each person. Only you will know what sounds good.
Its like buying car. some love leather seats and some hate it.
