Reply to World's Largest Pension Funds by dildobagginss
US Social Security trust fund would be third on list with $2.8 trillion assets in 2021.
It is a shrinking asset. Its balance declined 2% in 2021 due to lower income (FICA taxes and treasury bond interest) than pension payouts. Its projected to be fully depleted by 2034.

Batteries can be recharged about a thousand times. Mobile device batteries degrade too.

Will Smith fanboy here. King Richard was a home run. Hope he can survive his Oscar mistake and make future good movies.

Rule of thumb is total car costs no more than 1/6 income. I am guessing pretax $5900, total costs $1150 for 20%. A little high, but may be 1/6 after couple raises.

Similar to people who appeal their denial of Social Security Disability application, which happens over half the time. The law firm takes a fraction of the back-paid SS, if successful. Typical appeal takes couple years. If the appeal is successful, you get get bak-pay to time of application.

The default calculators dont know about other jobs at the beginning of year or simultaneously. Then its your job to pay tax shortages to IRS each quarter or risk a modest penalty. The penalty calculation is triggered when your taxes (including FICA) is more than $1000 short when filing taxes.

Kipchoge had a trained nutrition bottle-passer, a human interest story in the NYTimes said. Eliud drinks every two miles. A German friend is there and knows how to pass him a bottle without slowing down. The helper bikes the next two miles and passes again. They have been working together for five years.
Alternatively an elite runner can leave a distinctly marked bottle at any mile table. But perhaps lose a few seconds fetching it.

37% savings rate a good amount, though I doubt crypto is going anywhere.
Must be lucky to have nearly fully subsidized health insurance. That is my largest budget item.
I never see charity in most millennial budget breakdowns. Sad.

You might talk to a bankruptcy counselor. The rule of thumb is when debt reaches annual income, you should consider it.
