This is probably a wildly inconvenient suggestion but there’s a new queer hair salon in Fayetteville called ontheverge.xyz - that’s their handle and web address. I’ve been following them on IG and they do cool stuff!

Totally, they are hard to come by these days. I’ve stopped at other before and the nostalgia factor is there but the food isn’t great, so I love that this place has both. RS is very interesting. I’ve always wanted to check out the flea markets on the main drag, but every time I go they’re closed.

I love stopping at Pop’s Dari Dell in Reeds Spring! It’s a great step back in time (old drive in) and the food is delicious. Definitely get the onion rings if you’re an onion rings person.

I don’t take my dogs into the store but I do believe that people who don’t leash their dogs are definitely worse than people who take their dogs into stores, especially if they are taking their dog to dog-friendly stores.

Lol I’m not trying to make a moral argument here guys. Someone asked about WOWs nonprofit status and I stated that it was nonprofit and I’m getting downvoted. Do whatever you want I literally couldn’t care less, just answering a question

You’ll want to contact Kelly McGowan at McGowanK@Missouri.edu to get information on the next training. There is a one-time fee you pay once you’ve been accepted for training, I believe it’s around $100, which cover all of your course and reference materials that you get to keep for life. If memory serves they have scholarships available.

You are welcome to your opinions of course but to think that nonprofit = affordable is often not the case no matter where you go

Consider becoming a Missouri Master Naturalist. You have to complete a multi-week training and maintain 40 hours a year but the volunteer opportunities are endless, especially if you’re passionate about conservation.

Hey! Shameless self plug, I sell vintage and I specialize in funky/colorful from the 60s-70s. I have a couple pieces I haven’t even listed yet including a 1969 teal and lime green tweed sleeper sofa for $250. I also have a booth and an Instagram but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post it so PM me if you’d like that info.

What range are you thinking when you say affordable? Any of the Johnny Morris restaurants will have very dim romantic lighting, like the Garrison and Buffalo Bar.

Thanks all! I did find them at Natural Grocers. Hy-Vee didn’t show them available for online pickup and I did go to my nearest momma jeans but must have looked in the wrong spot. I appreciate it.

Pretty sure the Fantastic Caverns gift shop sells it if you can’t find it elsewhere. You don’t have to have a ticket to access the gift shop.

While gas isn’t the cheapest these days, one of my favorite things to do is go for a drive. I’ll usually just pick a road/direction and see where it takes me. I listen to podcasts, music, or audiobooks and roll the windows down if the weather permits. I’ll usually stop in whatever small town I’m passing through if it looks interesting and check out antique shops, coffee shops, diners. Walk around the square or parks. If there aren’t any good towns to stop through, gas station snacks are a good substitute.
If you want to drive all day, my favorite in NWA. Any combination of Jasper/Ponca/Eureka Springs is good for the soul.
Good luck! Hope you find your zen.

No judgment here, friend! You deserve to live in a space that feels good to you and serves you. I recommend following KC Davis on tiktok or if you can swing it get the book or audiobook “how to keep house while drowning.”
