You’ll want to contact Kelly McGowan at McGowanK@Missouri.edu to get information on the next training. There is a one-time fee you pay once you’ve been accepted for training, I believe it’s around $100, which cover all of your course and reference materials that you get to keep for life. If memory serves they have scholarships available.

Hey! Shameless self plug, I sell vintage and I specialize in funky/colorful from the 60s-70s. I have a couple pieces I haven’t even listed yet including a 1969 teal and lime green tweed sleeper sofa for $250. I also have a booth and an Instagram but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to post it so PM me if you’d like that info.

While gas isn’t the cheapest these days, one of my favorite things to do is go for a drive. I’ll usually just pick a road/direction and see where it takes me. I listen to podcasts, music, or audiobooks and roll the windows down if the weather permits. I’ll usually stop in whatever small town I’m passing through if it looks interesting and check out antique shops, coffee shops, diners. Walk around the square or parks. If there aren’t any good towns to stop through, gas station snacks are a good substitute.

If you want to drive all day, my favorite in NWA. Any combination of Jasper/Ponca/Eureka Springs is good for the soul.

Good luck! Hope you find your zen.

No judgment here, friend! You deserve to live in a space that feels good to you and serves you. I recommend following KC Davis on tiktok or if you can swing it get the book or audiobook “how to keep house while drowning.”
