Reply to Putin Recruiting 400,000 More Troops For Ukraine War, Says British Intelligence by BubsyFanboy
And for what? They're not defending their homeland against an invader, they're just being sent to the slaughter, or to come back physically/emotionally scarred.

Not that weird at all. Speaking only for myself, but I was much less eager to travel or go out when I had to wear a mask for it.

This is weird to read as a European where there have been no masks anywhere for basically a year.

Reply to UK and US rule out sending F-16 jets to Ukraine - as No 10 says it would be impractical | Politics News by BelleAriel
Russian and Western planes are built very differently. As an example, altitude is shown in feet in Western planes, while as Russian ones use meters. Therefore for Ukrainian pilots to transfer over to F-16s, it would be a very large and wide reaching change. In the immediate term, they're better served by getting more of the kinds of planes they're used to. And there are NATO members who have old Russian planes available, so a solution exists.

Reply to Russia says documentary on PM Modi evidence of BBC waging information war on different fronts by stepover7
Russia doesn't seem to understand that in many other countries, journalists aren't controlled by the state. They've had censorship for so long, they forget what freedom of speech is.
Though more likely they know the above full well, and still say things that aren't true as part of their information war on the west.

Reply to comment by hansobolo in France braced Monday for another day of mass protests and strikes over proposed pension reforms championed by President Emmanuel Macron, with the government and its left-wing opponents trading blame for the expected disruption. At least 240 demonstrations are planned across the country by DoremusJessup
What's the alternative? The country is aging, there are less people of working age. Something has to be done to reform the pensions system.

Considering there are zero restrictions on people travelling within Europe, I don't see the point of restrictions on travelers from China.

I mean they're taking that liking action because they have a certain view/thought, and then getting in trouble for it. I think this is policing people's thinking.

This is getting so absurd it's just hilarious. It's almost like some Truman show-esque thing where they come up with lie upon lie about the outside world to control their people.
