I was so confused when I first walked past that location because it has a chick-fil-a logo on the door and I thought they’d opened some kind of mini store or something.

It’s a great thing though— it has among other things alleviated the delivery people from taking over the public space at 84th & 3rd and provides these folks with much needed bathrooms and a climate controlled space to rest.

I've carried a pm2.5 meter on the 6 train before-- those stations tend to be very close to the surface and well ventilated-- the pm2.5 was below 10 for the entire trip.

Ventilation makes all the difference in these cases but it's important to figure out WHAT is in the particulates as well. You can boil water in your kitchen and hit a 300+ pm2.5 reading but the steam probably isn't killing you.

Fun fact: most large-scale preground coffee you buy in grocery stores has cockroach bits in it. People who are allergic to cockroaches can't drink it.

(not saying this is happening at the roastery-- they like most coffee shops these days grind on-site)
