I've had a similar experience. I was walking out of Elm City Market and a woman started walking after me screaming and shaking her umbrella at me. I just kept my head down and kept walking, but it did shake me up a little bit.

Update: In case any one is interested, I successfully made my trips to and from Hamden. Thanks for all the help, as a Midwest transplant in the northeast, I am certainly not familiar with using public transit 😅 but look forward to utilizing this system more!

I’ve really appreciated the vets I’ve worked with at Veterinary Wellness Center of New Haven. Perhaps pricy, but they’ve been very accommodating and have provided great care for my dog who has battled two infections in the last 3 months.

I think I may be too new to New Haven to know what you are referencing, but it certainly wasn’t a village. 66 Norton was a condemned building that the city forced tenants to move out of (read in an article) and then some slimy landlord bought and renovated it on the cheap. Water coming through the ceiling, pests, $1000 electric bills, the list goes on. Absolute nightmare.

I found a small landlord who is just a random guy who owns a house and it was the best decision I’ve made regarding housing in New Haven. You can find a lot of these people on FB marketplace, but please be wary of people who look like small landlords but are terrible management companies.
