Spong #1 coffee grinder, used every morning for 40 years. Yes, it’s cast iron, a 19th century design.

Quarter inch socket wrench plus extenders would be all-metal. A bit ungainly to maneuver at times, but would last a lifetime.

Wera Kompakt bitholding drivers are well made. As for handle composition, most drivers these days have plastic handles, I think appropriately.

Zwilling utility knife, 6 inch blade. I had one forever, the handle was cracked and the blade markings were worn off. I sent it to Zwilling, and they sent me back a new one.
I have an 8 inch; I just find the shorter blade more generally useful.

Reply to TIL about Rob McKuen, the bestselling poet in American history who sold 60 million books and 100 million records but is all but forgotten today by SAT0725
McKuen was popular enough in the 1970s to attract parodists. In Someone’s Sneakers is appropriately wistful and inappropriately vulgar (Credibility Gap, A Great Gift Idea).

The Chinese routinely deploy hundreds of drones with lasers and LEDs, displaying all manner of dynamic geometric patterns, text messages (in multiple languages), and mimics of traditional starburst fireworks. It’s simply amazing.

The Mannkitchen Pepper Cannon is $200.
Is there a head-to-head competition somewhere?
