I read it more as this guy has a pre-existing problem with vegans. I don't know any person who doesn't who would know what Protect the Harvest even is.

For those who don't know, it's an agriculture industry supported anti-anti animal cruelty organization. They oppose efforts to criminalize animal cruelty or promote animal welfare.

Yeah, ok. People are really gonna show up and riot over your goats. This story amounts to "family decided not to do an event, blames mean messages." And the fact that the guy linked to an article fear mongering about vegan extremists ties the whole thing in a bow.

Edit - oh, and they booked two events specifically appealing to vegans and vegetarians before this totally real story

The Pennsylvania Family Institute he's the communications director for is just a cookie cutter far right religious activist organization.

Under their "issues" listings you can find

  • anti-abortion listed as "life"

  • anti-gay listed as "family"

  • anti-trans listed as "culture"

  • anti-gay and anti-trans listed as "religious freedom"

You know what bugs me about the general air of unease about delta 8 products? Anybody who's been smoking longer than a decade has smoked shit a stranger gave them in a sandwich bag or the torn off corner of a grocery bag. We were all willing to trust that guy your friend knows but we're supposed to freak out about what might be in gas station products? Gas station is a step up from buying from the guy behind the gas station!
