another perk, they are so light that I can pick 4 of them up from the dishwasher with one hand, each between one finger. My kids go through tons of tiny plates (food can't touch!) so having corelle is a lifesaver.

are you open to waffle weave? I've only had them for a few years but they look the same as when I bought them. (I have Gilden Tree).

Reply to A good car for an old folk? by imzeigen
I have a subaru crosstrek, it still has a screen, but you can control the radio, temp, etc all with buttons. It's also great for old folk because it has EyeSight. This makes the car stop automatically if it senses something in front of it - makes accidents less likely. This also reduces your car insurance rates. If the crosstrek seems too much like an SUV, the Impreza is the same body but lower to the ground, also cheaper.

Reply to Dresser/Chest of Drawers than can be repeatedly assembled for apartment life? by cyriouslyslick
its not cheap but you could check out "the dresser" by Thuma. it's modular, so you can take it apart easily and it's all real wood. I believe you can also add units to it as you go.

American giant has womens hoodies - they are amazing! Super thick and sturdy, great stitching. I have one still growing strong after 7 years. A bit pricy but worth it.

great suggestions here - just thought I would add if you really want your cookware to be BIFL, think real hard about if you will ever have an induction range. I have one and love it, but copper cookware doesn't work with induction. cast iron, stainless steel, etc typically work great (if a magnet sticks to the bottom it will work). would be a shame to have a whole set of copper pans to replace if you switched to induction someday!

the forever chemicals are dumped into the environment during manufacturing way more than when you cook. its actually super terrible.

I have a Pendleton merino wool throw blanket, I love it cause it’s a bit softer and not too big.
