Reply to Frosty-style vegan shakes and Impossible burgers with vegan cheese at Fatburger in Midlothian 🔥 by zeelab2021
Went there once with my wife and 8 year old. It was over $40 for 2 reg meals and a kids. Food wasn't any better than typical fast food. Haven't been back since.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Flemings at Stony Point. Expensive to be sure, but the entire meal from the apps to the sides to the steak, including the dessert was phenomenal. Impeccable service too. We don't like stuffy ultra - formal restaurants and this was just the right balance of being very nice without making you feel uncomfortable.

Going to New Kent, the in-laws are hosting as they always do. Mother in law spends all day in the kitchen even tho we tell her to chill out. Turkey usually overcooked despite all the attention. The pies will be bland and sugar-less to appease my father in law who hates dessert, she feels one day he'll somehow become a different human lol. I'm bringing a couple of my own pies this time. Hickory Farms for lunch while we watch the Lions lose. I rarely see my Dad and brother even tho they live 10 minutes away, so looking forward to just hanging out.
Almost forgot: watching Planes Trains and Automobiles Wed night. Never miss a year! And getting Christmas tree on Fri from out near Lake Anna. Have a nice lunch in some middle of the nowhere place. Feels good to get out of town for a bit.

If you're a gamer and on Facebook, look up RVA Meet and Geek, a group me and a couple friends run. We get together socially with like minded people and plan local events. Could be a good distraction for you.

The Friday after is pretty common. Be happy they aren't those people who insist on doing it the day after Halloween.

People who wait until the last minute to buy food for the holidays are only putting thselves in the stressful situation to begin with. Easily avoidable. No one deserves to be disrespected.

I appreciate your post, it sparked a discussion that was actually pretty informative. It's easy for some of us fortunate ones to forget what others are going through sometimes. Out of sight, out of mind.

Totally agree. Portion sizes in this country are why most of us are obese. Put something in front of most people and they will cram it in their faces.
