A military dramedy in same vein of Hogan's or MASH is #1 on my most wanted list.

@Op
I hated the first season. The detective neo-noir story didn't click for me. But if you make it through S 1 and allow the 'world' to open up a bit the series is really good.
People not feeling S 1, but loving the series overall is a thing on the show's sub. It's not just you.

The Terror. The book is pretty good. One change the tv series made from the book that I really liked.
It isn't out yet, but Three Body Problem trilogy. Read it due to the upcoming Netflix series.
If you like science fiction it lives up to the hype. That said, I was tepid on the ending.

Once Arya returned to Winterfell all her scenes were awkward

Are you sure? Going off memory, I think I remember reading an article, something like, she wanted a sex scene for Arya?

Curious, was it because they turned Amy into the villian and Ricky into the good guy?
Loved Ashley and George. They were hilarious.

Nah
7 and 8 don't flow as well as previous seasons, but they do have some great scenes. Also some of Emilia Clarke's strongest acting, imo.

I feel like Nickelodeon came up with the tween concept with SNICK. Clarissa Explains It All, Alex Mack, etc.
In the 90's, for the most part, Disney Channel was mostly cartoons and black and white movies (Elvis).

Dark stronger start, but 12 Monkeys stronger finish.

Better Off Ted
With a bigger budget so he can go on missions. Done correctly, it would look sorta like a live action version of Archer.

90 percent of US shows aren't 22 episodes and haven't been for years. 8 - 12. Anyway I was talking about dramas and yes, it does even out.

Humans (Channel 4/Amazon) Science Fiction
> Sci-fi drama series written by Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley is based on the Swedish award-winning drama `Real Humans'. The story is set in a parallel universe where technology is highly advanced and lifelike humanoids called Synths are the must-have machines for any household.
Unfortunately no ending, but still worth a watch

I don't think I'd call it a trope. That's how life is. You meet people through others.
