It's hard for me to believe this is a picture from '98. I saw Sarah McLachlan in concert that year and I don't remember her looking like a teenager. I'm not saying it's not, it's just hard to believe.

Cats also have extra skin on their underside to protect them during fights with other cats. It often makes them look fat, but that's just a protective layer of skin. Your other cat is safe from disembowelment as long as they have that.

Our cat, which we've had about three years since a kitten, is the only cat I know that likes belly scratches. Doesn't resist, doesn't scratch. Just lets us hold her like a baby and purrs.

You unlocked their grooming impulse. Cats groom themselves with their tongues, and when you reach a spot that they can't normally groom on their own, they'll do that. A lot of cats do this when you scratch near their tails.
