A friend of mine is a prof there, though not in your program.

Get to know your professors! They can be helpful if you have a problem, plus also they are awesome folks. And they often know of good opportunities, or can help recommend you for things.

Remember: they are called "teach-ers," not "fail-ers" -- they want you to learn and succeed!

Oh! I hadn't heard, and I am in a couple of non-profits, and kind of keep an ear open for this stuff.

Dang, then I have to agree that Cicilline must have known the opening was coming. It adds to the credibility of the suggestion that he's miffed over being squeezed out of the Dem leadership in the new house.

I would love one or two of these. I have some extra New Hampshire toll tokens, if someone wants to swap for another useless non-coin. :7)

Not that I know of.

The Christian Science Mother Church in Boston has that three-story one you could walk through, and there is a public parking garage right there. I mean, you also have to go through their museum, which is...maybe not something to linger over with a kid?

> Why even bother lowering the sales tax rate? I'm certainly not going to notice saving 0.15%, but the state will feel the hit in aggregate.

I believe there is an expectation that some shoppers went to Mass. for a lower rate, and that those shoppers will come back to RI when the rates match. The tax rate would be lower, but an overall increase in shopping tranactions should ultimately boost the annual total taxes collected.

But that's just my guess. *shrug*
