I used to love spicy food. Not flaming hot, just spicy and tasty. Now I can’t have anything other than mild, as my tongue can’t bear it. Makes me sad, as it’s shrunk my meal choices quite a lot.

I believe you. I’m in the UK, and we tend to have all-in-one boilers that supplies the radiators with hot water and the taps too. I wonder which is more efficient?

Probably the thermocouple failing to tell the boiler that the gas is still lit. A new one is pretty cheap, but fitting it could be complicated. Have a look for how to guides.

Reply to Folding phones by being_igor
I suspect they’re showing off, like people with flip phones did back in the day. I doubt I’ll ever get one myself because of lots of reasons, including thickness, vulnerability of the screen and mechanism, the fact that I don’t like a crease down the middle of my screen, weight, extra points of failure, water ingress and dust, plus others I can’t remember.
Some people like em. That’s cool. I have an iPad for when I want a bigger screen, and am cool with not having it with me all the time.

Reply to Removing floor adhesive by Arkehn
I had some black tarry adhesive left on my floor after removing awful vinyl tiles, and had to chip them off with a hammer and cold chisel. Took a while and left me with a dusty floor, so had to give it a coat of self-leveller.

Not and retain the name. If you want to do a different story, just create your own.

Norway. Somewhere high up so I get snow, and stay dry once the ice caps melt.

It’s in our landing area (the top of the stairs if that makes more sense). It has a 12” hole, and in the loft/attic is a big fan with filters and a hose that makes it look like an elephant’s head. There’s a remote in our bedroom, and it creates a positive pressure in the whole house, so would certainly help your humidity issues. The brand we bought is Nuaire Drimaster, and it honestly works. We’ve had it for several years and swear by it.

We have a positive pressure fan running in the attic full time in the winter, which is supposed to push the moist air out through small gaps etc. it does help a lot, as we used to get mould growing beforehand. We’re in the UK, which isn’t renowned for its dry winters.

It really does. Source: been doing it for years. It doesn’t do much for the humidity in the house though.

I’ve really not noticed a huge difference, apart from sometimes you have to think about how you’re going to get a pic or file off your phone, mainly because I do it really rarely. I can recommend the change though. I’m glad to be rid of Android.
