I have EQ them depending on Genre. Been listening to a lot of Hip Hop lately so added a +3 gain on the low end and they sound perfect... Do like a warm signature. When I get my finances back in order I'll have to try thosethe Hd660 s2

Yes they are. A 7.5/10 in every category. Just a great all rounder, hence why I kept them. I was just curious to try a headphone over £1k and see if I'd notice an upgrade in sound... It was, but only minor not a massive leap

I had the Sennheiser Hd600s, but unfortunately had to sell them along with my tube amp due to financial reasons (nothing serious) I still have my Edition XS though.

Posted a week back about this tube amp. I was quite impressed with it since it only cost me £50. After doing research however, the general consensus is that this will be an improvement when fully balanced, therefore I bought a XlR to 4.4mm adapters for my headphone cable and and a dual XLR to 4.4mm male lead to connect to my IFi Zen DAC signature.
I agree that it does sound better. I noticed quite a difference at the low end, the bass seems punchier and the and the highs don't sound as piercing. The timbre has changed too, just sounds different.
I am using Jan 5670 tubes that came with it (The stock tubes are boxed away. All in all the total cost was around £80. Not bad indeed. Apparently the tubes need to burn in? Or is that a myth?

It's annoying that no reputable retailer stocks the 6XX in the UK. Had to resort getting mine from Ebay, still sealed though. This is the reason this time around I got the Hd600 a sit was £10 more and £100 less than the HD650 and 660

If I got them from a retailer then I'd definitely get them exchanged. I bought the Hd600 from the a reputable retailer, so if they're any issues I can exchange them

That's the general consensus on here and other forums. I was so gutted they were defective. Actually preferred them to my Sundaras
wiggan1989 t1_iy3hhjm wrote
I have both 6XX and Sundara's the former I bought last week, and I can confirm that the imaging is better in the 6XX, just seems like more fun headphone. However, the Sundara is more technical and has better bass for me. I feel like I'm covered at all angles with both of these

I have the original CRA's, the bass is great, but the treble can be muddy at times. It is very good Iem for the price. I upgraded to the Letshuoer S12 which is also V shaped and is a decent upgrade.
