I use Paracord. If you're worried about aesthetics you can get aglets

I also use paracord! I melt the ends real good and use a bit of gorilla glue and heat shrink tubing to create an aglet.

Mine are almost that old and show no signs of wearing out, including at the hook eyelets at the top of my boots.

I usually just go to the Red Wing store, which I am fortunate to have close. I can buy laces or if I am getting a replacement for a pair of Red Wings and happen to be wearing them, they just give them to me for free and I change them out there.

I replaced my boot laces with paracord. They've lasted about 10 months and are now starting to fall apart. I used heat shrink on each end. Not sure if paracord laces should last longer than that, definitely not bifl for me. Maybe my paracord is just shit.

Work boots...mine don't have laces.

Everyday boots...mine don't have laces.
