I use Paracord. If you're worried about aesthetics you can get aglets
r/Frugal knows best, its redwing.
Diamondlace. U.S made, guaranteed for life. Available on Amazon.
I also use paracord! I melt the ends real good and use a bit of gorilla glue and heat shrink tubing to create an aglet.
Leather laces. I buy mine from nicks or whites
I usually just go to the Red Wing store, which I am fortunate to have close. I can buy laces or if I am getting a replacement for a pair of Red Wings and happen to be wearing them, they just give them to me for free and I change them out there.
Ironlaces. Made from Kevlar.
Pisgah range ltd. They probably have lifetime warranty . I use them in my redwings.
Da best! Will outlast my 7 year old boots! Heavy user
Mine are almost that old and show no signs of wearing out, including at the hook eyelets at the top of my boots.
Depends on the boot...
Hiking boots and snow boots...I typically use paracord.
Work boots...mine don't have laces.
Everyday boots...mine don't have laces.
Dress boots...mine don't have laces.
I replaced my boot laces with paracord. They've lasted about 10 months and are now starting to fall apart. I used heat shrink on each end. Not sure if paracord laces should last longer than that, definitely not bifl for me. Maybe my paracord is just shit.
