Those other towns are also extremely livable, human, and worthwhile. That’s why everyone wants to live there. Drive around Westport and tell me it isn’t livable. You’ll sound insane.

For one thing I don’t put westport on the same tier as Darien and Greenwich. I live in lower Weston and am very familiar with Westport. I find it has more shortcomings than positives where the people are concerned. Whereas in West Hartford, when visiting, I have found the people to be very normal and down to earth.
West Hartford is like any upper middle class suburb in any rich area in the country. Lower Fairfield county is a beast.

What’re you talking about? The median home price in Westport is over 2 mil. And that’s not because of expensive outliers. There’s hardly any houses for sale there under 1M and anything that is will be bought overnight, redeveloped, and listed for 2.2M

No I think the market is slowing. Anyway I’ve known westport for some thirty years. It has its cycles.

Ok fair but that doesn’t mean that Westport isn’t in the upper echelon of the state, certainly shouldn’t be lumped in with Weston and Wilton where homes are available for less that 7 figures

This is an odd conversation ( a bit vomitous even). There are homes available in Westport for under 7
