To be safe I would have atleast 3 forms of identification including the state issued ID. It was a less than hour wait to get my childs.

Yeah I tried to call the number, been calling all day actually so i can try to get this ironed out before I go and make sure I have everything I need. All I have is my driver license and my expired license, but I'll try to dig up my social security card at least it should be somewhere and I'll look on the website for acceptable forms of ID as well. Thank you so much for your help. Edit: Yo didn't think about W2s as a secondary form of I'd so I do actually have 3 I can bring just in case.

You can walk into a social security office and get a new ss card same day I believe. I haven't done it in a while but I swear they gave it to me the same day. Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Also I swear I just provided my ID to get my daughters birth cert.

We were just at SS on Friday because there was a typo on our address so our newborn daughter never got her birth certificate or her SS card. She’s been issued a number but never actually got the documentation.

So we had to get a replacement card issued at the SSA and we didn’t get the new card that day. They gave us the number, but the card was going to be 7-10 days in the mail.

My friend just ordered a copy of his birth certificate through their online form and he was notified by email that they mailed it out later that day -- so I think that's a good sign for quick turnaround.

The ID requirements are on the website. https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/certificates/Pages/Acceptable-ID.aspx

I have exactly two weeks, we did order one with the hopes of that but it's still processing. I have the extra money for a flight and hotel for a night so I figured I'd just go in. I assume there's no limit for numbers of copies, the holiness is open til 10pm so I'm just gonna keep calling until I can get a hold of someone I suppose. Thank you!

Following up on this: I recently received a copy birth certificate using the process the previous commenter just suggested and I couldn’t believe how quickly I received it. Definitely in under two weeks.

I help clients order replacement ones often, if you reply to their customer service email saying it’s urgent they can expedite it. Usually if I email for the client they finish processing it same day or next morning.

Just bring all your papers. Literally all of them. Gas bill. Passport, Blockbuster card.

Good luck. Sounds like government he’ll

My daughter was born Feb 2021.

When her birth certificate came in the mail it had her father’s name wrong. We had to send it back and get a corrected one.

It took almost a year and going to our state representative, Tim Bonner to get it fixed.

It’s stupidly impossible to deal with these people. You need to go to your local representative for help.

I got them to expedite it and it is in the mail already! They even sent me an email and said 5-7 days max so I should be ok! Thank you so much everyone, it took forever to get ahold of them but I FINALLY did and they were super nice about it.

Have you tried vital records? I had to get my sons bc reissued and they got it to me in 48 hours (for about $80)

See I looked that up and there isn't any option for overnight or whatever anymore, or I'd have just done that lol.

Why do you need a birth certificate to go on a cruise?

So apparently it has to do with getting back IN the United States on the way back, have to prove you're a US citizen at the Port to be let back in. A passport or a realID also works but with no birth certificate I can't get either of those things.

Well, it's seems as though the flight price was a slight lie, so I will be making the 13 hour drive from Kansas City to Pittsburgh after working all day and it's gonna suuuuuck. Hopefully I get lucky and it get here before then. We shall see I suppose.
