We’ve gotten to the point where you don’t need to show peer reviewed articles to prove climate change is real; just need to tell them to go outside lol

And we're getting hit by the remnants of a November hurricane.

Stoicdadman t1_iw2j5gs wrote

This has a lot to do with it. It brings all the heat and humidity with it. It is a natural part of what happens. At least it's one less day of heating oil... Suppose to be 30 Tuesday night, and 54 for a high tomorrow.

mcsteam98 t1_iw27un0 wrote

Nah. No more humidity

Up top, bro!

(A juvenile reaction to 69, not true celebration. I want my cold November back.)

I am ok heating costs are insane right now and I know winter is coming on Monday.

Binlawdy t1_iw44zgy wrote

How funny would it be if the same year RI energy jacked up prices, RI had a record-breaking warm winter that made it so barely anyone needed their heaters. I know it would just mean nothing but bad news invironmentally, but it would be a great "screw you" to those greedy tramps.

We’re about to get a HUGE cooldown for the remainder of the month and into December, Arctic air is pushing it’s way over from the west coast right now after the remnants of Nicole pass through this weekend

Climate change seems like a pretty sweet deal for New England. No more denial for me. My skepticism stems from this time in 1st grade when my teacher laughed at me for guessing the hole in the ozone layer was cause by the space shuttle. Looking back I do wonder why they were teaching us about the ozone when we were barely able to read and do math. It was a pretty fucking good guess if you ask me.

Peach_enby t1_iw3i9qe wrote

Climate change also means erosion, flooding, brutally hot summers. Not a sweet deal.

badcarnivore t1_iw345g9 wrote

The 60 degree days are nice but it seems like a poor trade off for no rain for months in the summer.
