I would agree that there are more good pizza places in New haven than Worcester, but there's pizza here that's just fine.

Eat what you like but This is just pizza snobbery no different than how New Yorkers call the best pizza in Connecticut New Yorks worst.

Agreed. There's nothing wrong with a good old New England House-of-Pizza style Greek pizza and there are lots of places in Worcester that can do up a good one.

I dont think I'm being a pizza snob. I've also lived in both. New York pizza is phenomenal too. There could be good pizza in Worcester. I never found it.

New York pizza is overrated IMO. Visited last year and it was very average.

I mean if you're comparing Worcester to New Haven - widely regarded as the best pizza city in the country - well that's a little snobby. Have you tried Volturno or Birch Tree yet? I'm not gonna claim they're as good as Pepe's or Modern (both of which I've had in New Haven), but they're damn good fancy pizzas.

Ive had both. They're fine pizzas, but the problem is both are nice fancy pizzas (and birch tree isn't even doing pizza daily). Never found that perfect greasy take-out pizza to grab on the way home from work or get delivered after a few too many beers. Options on that front were entirely limited to greek pizza, which is just not good, as I said IMO. I've had great pizza in Chicago, New York, Florida, even Montana.

I've had all of the New Haven pies, 'olo is decently close and satisfying and I like Newton Sq Pizza though that's more greek-style. Greendale pizza makes a nice greasy pie. Volturno is high on my list as well but it's not everyone's cup of pizza. I like a lot of different styles of pizza, they all have their plusses and minuses. If all you like is New Haven style, you can always find a Frank Pepe's franchise in a few places in NE.

'Olo gets the pepperoni right. Cups that crisp up with oil in the center. Decently close thin crust too. Give it a try if you haven't.
