Mayor McCarthy has been weaselly about shutting down Moody Street and said she had no power now that COVID was over, and now it's solely the traffic commission's power.
Worth noting she's being challenged as Mayor this year by one of the councilors. Said councilor is heavily in support of closing down Moody Street for outdoor dining again.

Applebees is awful. The food is okay but I can’t go back after I heard from a former employee that they just microwave pre-prepared meals in all their restaurants. I was always suspicious with how you could only order burgers as pink or no-pink.

They’re good but a bit pricey. My golden standard is Carl’s/TC Lando’s in Waltham/Clinton/Acton/Leominster/Hudson. They’re slightly less expensive ($12 for a large bbq cheese steak while the default at ziggy bombs is $16) and better IMO. Worth the drive to Clinton IMO.
I had Ziggy Bombs cuz my office is around the corner and it’s convenient though and it’s still definitely worth your time.

Funny note: they took up the spot from a former Ruby Tuesday’s. The wifi for Ruby Tuesdays does not function but is still broadcasting. As an IT guy this greatly amuses me.

I second Lou Roc’s. Breakfast options in central mass are very sad in my experience. Worcester in particular Lou Roc’s is the only great breakfast I’ve had.

New York pizza is overrated IMO. Visited last year and it was very average.

I haven't had an issue on weekend mornings. The two times I went around weekday rush hour after work it was pretty crazy though. Too many people waiting until the most stressful time to buy their weekly groceries.

This is how all Market Baskets are designed. Produce and frozen are right next to each other, even in Hudson where the layout is reversed compared to a normal Market Basket.

It's not bad. It was a little more lively the opening week because of all the senior people pushing coupons and products on you. It's settled down and become more like a normal Market Basket.

I live and work in Worcester and I've gotten several snow days from my new job I started at the end of January. Nothing catastrophic but we've had several decent snows.

Otaku Sekai. Never been but I'm in a discord server for TCG players in Worcester that I found through That's E and they talk about Otaku Sekai and other LGS's around Worcester county.

I don’t think you’re giving Worcester credit. I grew up in Waltham so I still yearn for what I grew up with but since I’ve moved here I’ve had several pizzas that scratch the itch.

I’ve had The Fix once. I loved the burger. It was salty but delicious. The fries tasted frozen. I’d probably go again but get the homemade chips instead.

You leave a car length? I get mad if someone leaves a space large enough for someone to cut in ahead of the both of us, so any car length is obviously forbidden.

Reply to comment by DivineDart in Is there any way to find out what kind of subsidies/considerations Amazon received for the warehouses and half built Amazon Freshes that are sitting empty all over the state? by Happy_rich_mane
While I am sad about it and also hate Amazon, the Cinema went out of business on its own. Movie theaters have been on a downward slope for a long time and struggling to stay relevant against streaming services and high quality home viewing. I treasure theatrical releases and saw no problem with it, but it's a harsh reality that movie theaters need to reinvent themselves to stay relevant with the masses.
There's a place in New Hampshire I forget the name of that has tables in the theater rooms and they let you order from the movie theater and bring your food to you at the tables in the theater room. That's the kind of stuff movie theaters need to do to stay relevant.
