Fun fact, I just got a Pixel Watch and one of the primary reasons is so that I can see my sleep patterns and try to do something about them. And then I slept from like 6am to 3 pm the next day 🤣
We can do this!

Love that there is a non zero chance you are asleep on any given day lol

Except 1am, which has the lowest likelihood of them being asleep. Totally wack. OP should probably just move to a different time zone.
Tschakabaka t1_j3qg2qi wrote
Since it seems like you’re usually going to bed pretty late, how come the likelihood of you being asleep at 7pm is around 25%? Are you having an early evening nap just before dinner?
bridgetroll2 t1_j3qimh4 wrote
Same same. I would love to see a graph of this on myself. I feel like the most likely hour for me to be asleep would be like 9am.

Everyone has not had any kids at some point in their life. Just remember what it was like for you and you'll probably have a good idea.

You might have delayed sleep phase disorder. I do too.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delayed_sleep_phase_disorder
There's nothing inherently wrong with it other than it's hard to conform to society's normal morning oriented structure. Even if you force yourself to wake up early for years you can never truly break out of it.
0ssamaak0 OP t1_j3r0z3i wrote
I know already I have something like that, but why I can never truly break out of it?
I know it's hard, but it's all a matter of habit I think?

Sorry, I didn't know much comment would upset you. I thought you'd find it interesting.
Basically, even though melatonin can provide great short term treatment, there's a strong risk of relapse when left to your own devices. Your brain is sinply hard coded to a particular sleep schedule. However, it's not really a big deal, because you can function just fine with an alarm clock. Plus, you can find work that works with your natural schedule.

It's not about being upset at all, and it's really interesting 😃
anyway, I tried melatonin and other treatments, it doesn't solve the problem completely, but ... it works after all

I’m the early days of the COVID lockdown - March and April of 2020, my partner and I ended up routinely staying up until two or three in the morning and sleeping well past noon. Eventually when I started taking classes and working again I realized I needed to un-fuck my sleep schedule and within a week I realized how terrible I felt all the time when I was doing most of my sleeping during the day. Even if you get a solid 8 hours, sleeping during waking hours will make you feel like absolute shit.

I operate on a similar schedule, I usually fall asleep by 1pm (I stay up a bit later if I don't work that night) and wake up at 9pm to go to work at 10:30pm. My shift times are consistent, at least, so I can at least follow some kind of schedule.
