Curiosity got the better of me and I looked up what our wholesalers have. Here are the prices, we could get it tomorrow if you wanted. There are some fancier ones (like $200-$300/2oz) but they take like 5 days to arrive.

once again reminding people why your one of the best community places around and more people need to go buy there beer from you!!
Left the area and don't do my own micros anymore but you guys and Ed and Marys are what i miss most about not being over there anymore!
Thanks, we miss you too!
What’s the name of your store? Do you carry any Russian groceries?
The Thirsty Quaker, we're a liquor store/homebrew supply shop. We don't carry any Russian groceries but we have a small cheese/salami fridge and sometimes I order random things for myself to hit order minimums. My wife is Belarusian/Ukrainian hence me knowing all the local spots to get the stuff.
I feel ashamed for not knowing this place, after many years in the neighborhood. I am definitely checking you out this weekend!!!
Weird question: do you know if non-pasteurized goat cheese can be legally sold in US? And if so, where? Ever since I came back from Portugal, I’m addicted.
I've visited several dairies, and have a few suppliers, and have even made Feta and cheddar, but unfortunately I don't know enough to answer that one.
The owner at Third and Vine used to brag about getting "illegal cheese" for their restaurant, but they closed a while ago =/
There's a sheep and goat farm near Atlantic City that sells cheese, I forget the name but they might be able to answer if you give them a ring.
I love your place! Have spent many a Friday afternoon loading up on craft beer for wrestling weekends.
Just moved right around the corner from you guys, can't wait to stop in so I can stock my fridge & bar.
Would like to know as well... we need more Russian/Eastern European food here in JC.
Hudson Market has a small section of international food and Ukrainian Hata inside is great (though a bit pricey) 😊
Was going to mention Hudson Greene Market - they have a surprising amount but you need to look closely for it (I found salo by accident yesterday 😂) same feelings about Ukrainian Hata - $12 for 4 syrniki feels steep but also they’re the only game in town so they can charge what they want
Wow - thanks for offering this! Let’s keep in touch and I will definitely reach back out in the future. I needed to get the caviar today so I didn’t quite have time to take you up on this. Have a great day!
Upvoting this for the awesome, neighborly attitude.
Right like even my gut reaction is to be snarky about like ...why would you or look at you being all fancy and i generally love being super helpful to my community members haha.
Cangiano’s
The year is 2045. 99 Hudson Street & the Goldman building are now the shortest buildings in Jersey City's costal skyline, long ago replaced by the Megabutress heavy-large skyscrapers constructed to hold back the rising seas & prevent more flooding like Hurricane Upsilon had.
In one of those small, dark windows a screen turns on shattering the darkness. A reddit user is hunched over the terminal, logging in to R/JerseyCity to ask their question, the ONLY question anyone in town discusses after Tacos were outlawed to thwart immigration by that douche of a president years ago.: "Hey all, where can I get the most AUTHENTIC Caviar that is also affordable? The prices in this town are out of control! I remember when I moved here and..."
Out in the acid rain, wearing a cloak made out of old vinyl "NOW RENTING!" banner, sits another figure under the hyperloop-stop awning. U/jasonleeobrien looks up with old, glassy eyes and feels in his soul what is happening up in the tower. With a coarse croaking voice, the kind filled with the regret of unrecognized foresight & insight befitting of a Socrates allowed to grow old, he lets out in a belabored sigh: "LUXUR...."
The most unrealistic part of that is thinking they would spend the money to knock down any buildings over there . They would just put new cabinets in or maybe just cabenit paint and change a few fixtures call it " Modern luxury updates" Change owners and building names and remarket the older buildings as NEWLY RENOVATED .
Those buildings are there to stay till they fall down ---which with the way they were made might actually be about 2045 lol
Yeah, superstorm Hurricane Upsilon really helped expose the shoddy workmanship & I'm glad most of them were damaged beyond repair. At least it made room for more micro-units which I hear are supposed to maybe keep rent maybe down?
But at least you can next to Korben Dallas and have Chinese delivery come fresh right to your window.
Well yeah duh everyone knows that all tough guys in the future eat noodles
Thank you for this gift.
Cangianos or cool vines!
Give Scale Fish Market a call
+1 for scale
Wow - thank you everyone for this amazing response! Really appreciate the level of thought that went into these responses. I ended up going to Cangianos as an excuse to also get a #11 - Capicola with provolone and vinegar peppers. Thanks again everyone
I’m too late obv lol but whole foods in Weehawken has a decent selection
Zabars on the UWS has reasonably fair caviar prices.
Gourmanoff in Paramus
+1 to Gourmanoff. If you drive I suggest going there early, like 10-11ish to skip the traffic. It's 30mins one way

I’d imagine scale has some but maybe call first
Check out Scale. And surprisingly, all the Cool Vines location have them too.
Hudson Greene market has caviar, saw it a couple weeks ago. NetCost in Staten Island or Paramus do too (they are about equally far). One time I was able to buy it at Costco in Bayonne around New Years. I have bought it once at Oliva in Newark ave but never saw it again after that.
Whole foods edgewater
If you drive out to Livingston area Prime Food Market has a nice selection of European style caviar it’s located on rt. 10
I’m pretty sure Cangianos has caviar.
Coolvines has a small caviar fridge.
Best bet for the real stuff is probably Petrossian: petrossian.com
911 7th Avenue (btw 57th & 58th Street) New York, NY 10019
There are Russian stores in NY's Brighton beach area (also one near Westfield mall area in NJ); but the Tashkent supermarket is probably better (an amazing Uzbek food experience and they are opening soon in Manhattan).
Seeing this right after the post full of people complaining about fare evaders is just chef’s kiss
I like caviar but it is extremely funny to see a caviar post getting this much engagement

What type are you looking for? 99 ranch usually has tobiko (flying fish) and ikura (salmon).
If you want to drive, Mitsuwa in edgewater has a bunch more Asian types.
If you're looking for sturgeon or beluga-style caviar, you may be able to find some at Journal Square Pharmacy on JFK by Sip. They have a bunch of Russian groceries, but their fridge was on the fritz for months and I haven't been back in a while, so maybe call them up first. If you don't mind traveling, Brighton Beach by train, or Syberia Market and Prime Foods Market are drivable (~25 min) and have lots of eastern European groceries including lots of caviar.
I might be able to special order some and have it arrive tomorrow, as one of our wholesalers carry it. I'd just need to double check if I have enough other things to hit the order minimum. If you're interested in that DM me and I can tell you some prices.
