JC redditers - recommendations for good car wash places/detailers? I've gone to Mr Bubbles on Grand/Fairmount a few times, they get the job done for a car wash in a pinch but you definitely get what you pay for. Any and all recommendations welcome. Thanks!

The truth is they all suck. I like the one in the Valero gas station on Garfield and Caven Pt Ave, but it's also not great. I actually had more luck with the ones in Hoboken, but they are generally more expensive.

If you are willing to spend the money, steambach inside Newport mall parking lot is pretty good. I got my 2017 accord exterior detailed for like 120 I think

Express Auto Spa next to the McDonalds at the Bayonne/Jersey City border is my go-to. I also go there when I need an oil change.

Do they actually have a verifiable underbody wash? Or do they just claim to?

Seems to be 50/50 with car washes. Some you can clearly see it. Either the canons shooting up or that lawn sprinkler kinda thing you go over. You can even hear it if you’re in the vehicle. Others just spray the tires.

In the winter that’s important.
