The truth is they all suck. I like the one in the Valero gas station on Garfield and Caven Pt Ave, but it's also not great. I actually had more luck with the ones in Hoboken, but they are generally more expensive.

Even at the peak of the market this would be considered a terrible deal. With the current layoffs in the tech industry, the offer seems especially ridiculous.

Same here. I prefer Tino's because it's more filling, and cheaper. Razza's is more like a piece of art, it's excellent pizza, it just won't fill you up.

I'm sure it's fabulous. But based on the OP's criteria downtown is a better fit, IMHO.

How does living in downtown Jersey City prevent one from "embracing living in and giving back to a diverse community"?
I'm glad you've made a great decision for yourself.

Do not even think about journal square. You've got a well paying job and want to experience city life. You'll fit right in downtown Jersey City or Hoboken. As someone mentioned before, there are many UK expats here. Everything you mentioned is available, including parks, restaurants, beer, and you have quick access to NYC. Virtually every family, if they don't have kids, they have dogs here.

The bike infrastructure in JC is decent and constantly improving. You have to be smart about which streets you ride on of course. The drivers here suck, so always ride defensively.

You'll be shocked but some people even lock their cars.

Buy a kayak or a SUP. One time investment. A lifetime of free crossings from JC to Manhattan. With a SUP you won't be walking, but at least you'll be standing.

Journal Square is my least favorite neighborhood in JC. The huge multilane roads and the train tracks make it unpleasant to walk around. It's dirty, with lots of traffic.
Look into the downtown area if you can afford it. The heights has a better vibe too. Hopefully you can still break the lease.

Don't waste your time with chiropractors. Go to one of the physical therapy clinics in JC. They are more likely to help you and most places don't require insurance or referral.

I hate cars parked in the bike lane as much as anyone else. And when it is blocked, I go on the road, not on the sidewalk, like an adult. Because I respect other people's health and it's not up to me to endanger them because I feel 'unsafe' to ride with traffic.

You absolutely DO NOT go on the sidewalk, especially if it's an electric bicycle or scooter, regardless of whether the bike lane is blocked or not. You have no right to put others in danger for your choice of riding a bicycle with a non-perfect bike infrastructure.
I'm sick and tired of seeing escooters and ebikes on the sidewalk. Take responsibility. Ride on the bike lane (even that's questionable) or with car traffic or stop altogether if you feel unsafe. But don't put others in danger.
