Soft paywall. It's so annoying when people post links to walled articles without even bothering to summarize the article.

"Boston resident Martin Kelledy has filed a class-action suit in state and federal courts over his contention, which basically boils down to the claim that the Dunkin’ mobile app sometimes adds upcharges that it doesn’t explain."

A bit more about Martin. He’s a marathon runner and a hospice volunteer according to news sources.

One article referenced a hidden $1.25 cream cheese fee.

My friend just asked me about his Dunkin app adding 50 cents extra for cheese using his rewards to buy a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I couldn’t explain it, but now I know why.

Haven't been to Dunkin once since they changed their rewards program.

Cumbys all the way.

It is. And so is the food.

Seeing people spend 2k a year on shitty coffee is mind blowing.

I'm all for being lazy and treating myself but...my French press coffee costs me about 5 bucks a week. It's like 300 bucks for the year and it legit takes me 2 minutes in the am.

People go save 1700 and drink decent coffee!

I had noticed a while back that the prices in the app were sometimes higher than the ones on the board in-store.

They have also started upcharging for more total flavor shots than the 'standard amount'.

If you go there for the food, you get what you ask for.

Same for 7-11. I don't get how anyone eats that shit, but I'm not the one eating it so more power to them.

One could assume it's mostly construction, landscaping and road crew types working close by, but there have been many times I've seen Uber Eats picking up a delivery order for someone.
