And you have to move it by 4am to the lot two bus stops away every Saturday, and there’s no overnight parking allowed in the lot on Friday nights.

Wayyy more space than you could realistically expect for that price

1st last security and you have to pay for background check.

Fun fact: forcing a tenant to pay for a background check is illegal in MA.
I've docked it from the first month's rent and only ever had minimal pushback.

fun fact: so isn't collecting a pet deposit!!! Yes, pet deposit!

Pet rents are legal. See Flemming v. Greystar Management.

It's difficult and expensive to get rid of these items now that the trash people won't take them, I'd expect to see a lot more of these studios on your local streets soon.

One of my neighbors uses a non functioning but intact microwave as a mailbox. Spacious and watertight. So far the letter carrier is okay with it.

Conservatives suck. But there are a lot of liberals here that stand in the way of housing development too. We’re overwhelmingly a blue a state yet somehow haven’t done much if anything to solve this problem.

Actually have been living here since 2007... Rent has only gone from $1000-$1300 for me in the past two years. So as I said, it must suck.
luuunnnch t1_izsj45q wrote
So what you are saying is that you don't have a landlord, or one that is paying bills anyway. Must be a relative or retiree.
Sea_Establishment300 t1_iztn7pm wrote
No not a relative. I do pay them $2500 towards water/sewage once a year. So there is a catch. I pay my own electric and internet...
