Actors who are great at Buddy Films

There are some actors who are either not too famous and can only do such films or are still famous enough but chose to not be the sole stars in some projects. There are some gems from the 70s and 80s especially the cop or conmen types of films. But am not sure whether there were many that were that prolific at doing such buddy flicks as their main thing.

Guys like Steve Martin, Redford, Ben Stiller, Jackie Chan and Will Ferrell did a fair bit of them even after their star power rose but the most notable one in my eyes is Ryan Reynolds who has been doing them so much for just over a decade when he could easily be getting a much bigger salary in some other solo projects.

Which notable ones over the decades do you think were prolific and even good at them?

Have loved Jack and Matthau in a few other things but still haven't seen any of the 10 films they did together.

Mark Wahlberg of course. The Other Guys, 2 Guns, Ted, Daddys Home, Spenser Confidential. Buddy cop movies are his bread and butter.

I would love to see Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes make another movie together,,White men can't jump and Money Train are excellent 👍👍

Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda, although I would have liked to see more of Hopper and Jack Nicholson working together. Also Dustin Hoffman with Warren Beatty in Ishtar, with Jon Voight in Midnight Cowboys, and with Tom Cruise in rain man.
