I buy from takeout-nyc. They have daily specials and no lines
This is really gonna help their used cd sales.
Can I donate a used bong for a tax deduction?
1.5 mil for rent. Geez
For 10 years, yeah? $12.3K/mo
Is that for 10 years or 1 year? Big difference.
That certainly is one way of looking at it
Unless they paid upfront isn’t that the correct way to look at it? Rents paid monthly

Can you imagine the prices? I live in the Bronx, near the ferry and I don't think I'll be going there anytime soon. They didn't do what they said, helping individuals who had a weed conviction would get the first licenses.
Actually they did exactly that, along with providing licenses to local non-profits, like, you know, Housing Works. Don't shame them for simply being organized and opening first.
and how exactly will the executives of housing works “help” people with a conviction? because they will hire them to be a budtender for $39,000 a year? look up how much their CEO makes and ask yourself how much more that will increase while they “help.”
You're confused. Housing works has no requirement to hire convicted folks. The state gave licenses to convicted folks AND non-profits. Housing Works just happened to open first.
Prices are just about what I expected starting out. $40, $55, and $60 1/8s. Pretty much the same price point I’ve seen in states with rec markets just starting. Looked to me like they gave licenses to people that met the criteria they explained beforehand, what makes you say they didn’t? There are many more licenses already issued, just still in the process of opening. Like the article says, Housing Works was just first to get all their shit straight
They are looking for all that NYU Student money
Was about to say, good god that block of Broadway is about to become even more toxic.
This is terrible news. Everything of theirs is overpriced
1 day slip!
Why would you need 7500 sq ft for a dispensary in a highly dense, expensive, urban area?
Because Housing Works is a growth oriented business that looks more and more like a for profit enterprise than a true non profit. They are to non profits today what NYU is to "non profit" education.
This isn’t relevant to my question.
They want big to make big $$$$.
Outside of the mega stores. I’d doubt there is realistic analysis that larger square footage results in proportional increases in profit.
They can do a lot with that space. And since it is so dense and it’s one of the first dispensaries, I imagine big crowds. They might also be able to do some growing and or processing in the building.
They can’t. Growing licenses are separate
What can they do? I’ve been to a lot of dispensaries, except the mega stores which are totally impractical here, they usually work best as small operations. That’s kinda their thing. It’s inexpensive to operate and takes a small foot print.
Lookibg for alternatives?

Damn b, I promised that imma quit bud when its legal.
Probably get some punches but I can still say weed is de-ducking-criminalized!
Or am I just wishfully thinking 🧐
