Which is why it should be managed appropriately. Mismanaging an essential service is dangerous.

I’ve said multiple times in this thread that I’m not talking about financial returns. I’m talking about what we as citizens receive back

Yes. The return on the investment is terrible. Money is misspent on a multiples basis.

It is if your definition of ROI is inclusive of what is good for the citizenry. Which is which I was referring to. Returns to us. Not financial returns.

Not sure how that's disagreeing with the fact that it's financially mismanaged.

The entire city budget is basically a glorified jobs program. The actual return on taxes paid is atrocious.

They have a great idea. They know that by the time this is adjudicated they will have made the money they were expecting and will go back home. The entire system is a sham.

People who side with developers on things like this never realize that the developer needs to negotiate much more than the city does. Standing firm is how you get maximum concessions. I guarantee that the deal reached here will be miles better than what was on the table months ago.

Because Housing Works is a growth oriented business that looks more and more like a for profit enterprise than a true non profit. They are to non profits today what NYU is to "non profit" education.

We definitely need more housing. In particular by lifting the far cap in areas that are overwhelmingly single family homes. The fact that most of the city is still built at 3 stories is amazing to me.

I mean if you don’t like the pricing, just pick it up yourself. I fail to see the point in this. It’s not like we have a constitutionally protected right to food delivery.
