Siempre Algo is such a great spot. They have such a refreshing attitude towards both guests and employees. Everyone gets treated well.

I feel like Senyai doesn’t get as much love as it should. Unpopular opinion - they have better Thai food than Smiling Banana Leaf.

Stagioni closed or that would've made my list too. Their freshly made mozzarella was amazing.

Some of my favorites are more on the casual side. In no specific order:

  1. Cilantro & Ajo
  2. Nicky's Thai Kitchen
  3. Gaucho
  4. Bakersfield
  5. Carson Street Deli

Food scene in Pittsburgh has come far since I first moved. Would still be nice to have some Korean BBQ, but I digress.

Our favorites are Morcilla and DiAnoia’s. Mola and Oishii Donburi are good Japanese spots. Doce and Tocayo are our go-tos for tacos. Nicky’s and Ocha Thai are always solid. Driftwood, Monte Cellos, and Pizza Lupo for pizza. There’s a lot to list! Honorable mention to Salems, Spice Island, Everyday Noodle, Cilantro Ajo, and Colombian Spot too.

I just had Mola for the first time after seeing this sub rave about it and I must agree with the praise! It was great and the staff was super nice too.

I'll admit for a hot second before I clicked for the full post and only saw "girlfriends top 5" I really thought we were getting a list of your top five restaurants and top five girlfriends, that seemed random.

If you haven’t f’d wit Moonlit Burgers, by all means, do. Not fine dining in the least but damn good smashburgers, BOMB fries, fast service, and digestible prices.

I found the burgers to be over cooked and dry (I got it to go so that could be it) but the pickle chicken strips were fantastic.

I will die on this hill though- if you are a fucking burger place, fries come included… charging separately is horse shitery

guggy621 t1_j4ixmhu wrote

I also didn't think it was that good and the burger was dry and the fries were extremely salty and my food was not to go. I was wondering if it was just an off day though and if I should try them again since I am nearby and everyone seems to love them.
