Okay, so I have a very non-interesting rather immature issue with my(F27) boyfriend(M28). I'm honestly considering ending the relationship because I'm unsure if I can take this anymore. We have big arguments over the smallest things. For example; the other day we just got in the car and wanted to grab food. I was deleting 2 emails on my phone and asked him if he was looking for where to eat. He said "yes" and I replied, "I'm gonna start looking too". He looks over and says

Him: "that doesn't look like you're searching"

Me: "I didn't say I was, I said I'm gonna start soon"

And then started a whole argument about who said what and basically ruined our day. I feel really disconnected when he argues about these things. I think the conversation should have stopped when I said there was a misunderstanding instead of him pushing what I said. I've tried to talk to him about it but he doesn't want to apologize and is stubborn about the fact that I'm mistaken about what I said. It's just so annoying I have to deal with these things that really shouldn't matter.

Should I stay and work on it or move on?

What makes you think he's interested in "working on it"?

He usually ends up admitting he was wrong and says he'll change, but at this point, it just feels like it's never going to.

Okay, do you want to keep going through that over and over?

I don't, but I guess what makes it hard is what if he does change?

He could change in the way you want. He could also go to law school. Or decide to move to France. Do you want to make decisions based on the possibility of things that seem to have no realistic chance of happening? If you stay with him for five years and this hasn't changed, will you be glad you waited around just to see if it would?
