It's an alternate history. Trust me, you don't want what comes with that Metro stop.

Then you shouldn't have been such a racist town when Metro was built then.

That's been disproven. The problem was the bedrock they'd have to tunnel through plus the quick elevation from the Potomac. It wasn't feasible at the time and still may not be.

NIMBYs don't want anything, that's why they're NIMBYs.

The fact of the matter is that they were not the reason there isn't a Metro stop in Georgetown, so regardless of what they wanted it was not racism that doomed the Georgetown Metro stop.

I’ve probably got 1000 hours in The Division 2 and yeah, even the metro stations are legit. Some things had to be simplified and scaled down for the game but overall they did a great job recreating the city.

That game is so much fun especially if you were in DC during the pandemic.

They even have the little playground and grassy area between l'enfant and HUD which isn't even visible from the street

How far out does it go? I’m wondering if I could find my apartment building in the game lol

Basically the northern boundary is K street, east is the Capitol, and south is 395. Western boundary is Georgetown waterfront basically.

I was able to visit my old apartment in Foggy Bottom and walk all the way around it. It was very cool. I basically played all the way to that point just to see it lol. I don't think I played any more after

Division 2 is insane, I don't even like the actual game that much but seeing really specific stuff like the entrance to Macy's and Ollie's Trolly right where they should be is incredible. It'd be an average game for me if it wasn't so accurate, but the familiarity of it made it really special.

Missed MW2 but that was only one mission

Recently played the remaster of MW2. The DC Russian invasion mission hits a little closer to home than it did playing when I was younger. Especially the part fighting through the residential areas.

I remember when the original version of MW2 came out I was surprised they actually included the WWII memorial because at the time it was a very new addition and I didn't think they'd have added it yet. That was really cool.

I wish Division 2 had a peaceful or offline mode where I could just mess around and explore without any grinding.

Same lol, I'm not huge on grindy games but their version of DC is beautiful

Listen CHILllllldren, FO3 clearly thought they had to take it easy and muted the death and destruction at the most famous landmarks.

You have to play FO3 and FO4 to see what they really wanted to have in FO3.

Now who wants to eat some 200 year old Salisbury steak?

The Michigan Avenue/McMillan Reservoir level is one of my favorites. I squeed when that came up. I've always loved McMillan Reservoir since the days of me working at Children's Hospital. That and I've been told the level in the WH through the staff area is on point too.
