I thought the Swizzler burger and fries were excellent. The line was slow, but I'll cut 'em some slack since it was just their second day in operation there, and everything came out hot and fresh. And the lines will be much shorter soon when we're seeing less than 5,000 people in the seats every night.

I was just having this discussion with some friends. While it may seem like the city is overrun with violent criminals if you spend too much time watching the news or reading this sub, it seems more likely that there are much smaller groups of repeat offenders committing most of these acts. Like the huge number of wheel thefts: the fact that nobody (as far as I know) has even been arrested for this makes it almost certain that a single highly organized and skilled team of people are responsible for pretty much all of them.

Is there a way to request that DDOT clean up a stretch of roadway? There's so much trash both near and on the South Capitol Street ramp off eastbound 695 that it's almost spilling out onto the roadway, and DC's archaic 311 system makes it impossible to select an address on an exit ramp.

I have lots of good memories of shopping up and down Wisconsin Avenue years ago, especially before Christmas. Paul's and Sur La Table are also now long gone.

I’ve never been to that one, but I found the Ballston location—very close to the Orange Line—kind of lacking in beer selection. It’s way smaller than most locations.

Total Wine out in McLean if you don't mind the trek. They have an enormous selection of beers that nobody in the District can really compete with.

Yeah, but Morrissey canceling at the last minute is an all too common occurrence. I've bought Morrissey tickets twice in the last 25 years, only to have both shows cancelled. I've learned my lesson.

It was fantastic if your idea of fun was shipbuilding and manufacturing munitions.

I don't know but it seems like a LOT of people are gullible enough to pay top dollar for Morrissey tickets, thinking that he'll actually show up.

I'm fine with the streateries where they don't inhibit pedestrian/cyclist/motorist safety, but maybe we can focus on making them not look like a third world shantytown at this point.

Who cares if they're driving 2,000 feet to park and then get on a train. It keeps those cars off the highways between Ashburn and their workplaces.
